A special edition, in the sign of the recovery, which the Sicilian company participates in with its small, prestigious productions, from unique territories and vineyards.
Donnafugata is preparing to experience one of the most significant Vinitaly events in the name of the recovery: it will in fact be among the first major in-person events, of an international scope, which the company will be participating in after a stop of almost two years.
In the three days organized by Veronafiere there is a rich program of tastings and events where it will be possible to discover the small prestigious productions from the Donnafugata estates: from Contessa Entellina to Vittoria, from the island of Pantelleria to the slopes of Etna, those of Donnafugata are wines that represent the extraordinary diversity that Sicily can offer.
At the company stand, in pavilion 4 stand B7, in addition to the current vintages, the operators of the sector will taste some historical vintages, selected by Antonio Rallo from the company reserves: Chiarandà 2008, Mille e una Notte 2009 , Ben Ryé 2011; representative labels of Donnafugata, testimonials of great longevity.
Furthermore, on Sunday, October 17th, at Casa Coldiretti, the “Italian excellences” tasting will be held, during which nine great names in wine will present their flagship labels, symbol of the country’s enology: José Rallo will narrate Fragore 2018 – Etna Rosso Doc Contrada Montelaguardia, Etna cru with volcanic elegance.
On Monday the 18th, Antonio Rallo will bring proof of Donnafugata’s commitment to restoring and protecting dry lava stone walls (UNESCO World Heritage Site) on the island of Pantelleria, within the conference “Isole minori Oasi del biologico “(Minor Islands Oasis of the Organic). Also on Monday, Josè Rallo will moderate the wine2wine business forum workshop “Historic Perspectives of Wine Blog” with Felicity Carter, journalist, editor and Executive Editor of The Drop.
A special space will also be reserved for the wines that are the result of the partnership between two excellences of Made in Italy Dolce & Gabbana and Donnafugata: Rosa 2020, Isolano 2019, Cuordilava 2017 and, as a preview, Tancredi 2017 Limited Edition.
“Vinitaly Special Edition 2021 is a symbol of recovery for the wine world – comments Antonio Rallo – an important step, in anticipation of the 2022 event, where we will be able to welcome again the stakeholders from all over the world, in the reference event for our sector”.
