Angheli 2011
Bordeaux blend with a Sicilian soul, aged for about twelve months in second passage French oak barriques and tonneaux, and at least two years in the bottlle. Angheli 2011 conquers with its pleasantness and elegance. On the nose fruity notes of sour black cherries and plums blend with fl owery scents of violets and spicy tones. On the palate we fi nd the fruit again, enlivened by a hint of nutmeg. A round wine with soft tannins and pleasant persistence.

Tancredi 2011
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Nero d’Avola that is completed with Tannat and other grape varieties. It is aged for about 14 months in French oak barriques and tonneaux, new and second passage, and then in the bottle for about 24 months. A ruby red color, Tancredi is a complex and elegant wine, with a deep bouquet, where the red fruit notes, especially marasca cherries, merge with sweet graphite scents, followed by balsamic and spicy hints (tobacco, bitter cocoa and liquorice). The palate perfectly refl ects the nose, it is soft and round, well balanced by noble and elegant tannins.
Tancredi & The Leopard: Tancredi is the young nephew of the Prince of Salina, interpreted in the fi lm by Alain Delon. Elegant, intelligent, modernity and tradition blend with charm. Perfect to incarnate the nature of the red Tancredi.
Mille e una Notte 2011
Donnafugata’s fl agship red wine, Mille e una Notte 2010 is made by the selection of the best Nero d’Avola, Syrah and Petit Verdot blended with other varieties. It ages in mainly new French oak barriques for 14 months, and then in the bottle for about 36 months. An important wine, impenetrable ruby red, the nose offers an ample bouquet, with notes that range from red fruit (cherry) to spices (pepper and liquorice). The palate is fragrant, it perfectly reflects the nose, with soft and enveloping tannins. Long persistence on the finish: a wine with great personality and elegance, the distinctive characteristics of a real Leopard.
Mille e una Notte 2008 & The Leopard: The palace portrayed on the label of Mille e una Notte, was the prestigious summer residence of the family of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, author of the Leopard. In its setting we can recognize the Donnafugata palace, with memorable pages and scenes of the Leopard.
